Morgan Turinui has been called up as a replacement for loose forward David Lyons, who broke his leg against Canada last week. 25-year-old Turinui won the last of his 20 caps for the Wallabies in 2005 and it seems John Connolly has favoured a back so he can cover Stephen Larkam’s injury rather than calling up a replacement forward. Although it could also be cover for captain Stirling Mortlock who is recovering from a dislocated shoulder and Mark Gerrard injured in the first game of the tournament.
