Bath play their home games wearing kit comprising shirts of blue, black and white not far removed from the original strip of blue shirts. Many well known international players have donned the Bath strip, such as; Gareth Chillcott, Nigel Redman, Stuart Barnes, Richard Hill, Mike Catt, Jon Callard and Andy Robinson who went on to become England and Scotland head coach.
Bath Rugby Football Club is one of the oldest clubs in existence being founded in 1865. Bath play their home games at; The Recreation Ground Argyle Street, Bath, BA2 6PW. With an original home base at North Parade, Bath then led a nomadic existence during the 1800s playing at Claverton Down, Lambridge Meadows, Taylor's Field and Henrietta Park. They then leased a plot of land at Pulteney Meadow, known locally as the Rec.
The Bath shirt has lifted many trophies particularly during the 80's and 90's, for example; Heineken European Cup Winners: 1997/98, Courage League Winners: 1988/89, 1990/91, 1991/92, 1992/93, 1993/94, 1995/96, Pilkington Cup Winners:1988/89, 1989/90, 1991/92, 1992/93, 1994/95, 1995/96 and John Player Cup Winners:1983/84, 1984/85, 1985/86, 1986/87. Guinness Premiership winners in 2003/4 and to date they have held their place in the top flight of English Rugby.
