With the coaches head Coach David Nucifora for the third season supported by Greg Cooper who has moved from the Highlanders.
The Blues squad for the 2008 Rebel Sport Super 14 is predominantly made up of players from within the franchise area with Auckland 18, North Harbour 6, and Northland 2, plus two newcomers from Hawke’s Bay in Danny Lee and Bryn Evans. All Black fly-half Nick Evans returns after starring for the Highlanders in recent seasons and will add extra class to an already exciting backline.
Prediction
With their exciting line-up and no disruption this term through players being rested we see the Blues competing for the top honours and making the play-offs. If they can achieve home advantage we see them winning the 2008 competition.
