Bristol play their home games in Blue and White shirts with an ornate town motif on the chest. The shirt has been worn by some well known international names such as; Alastair Hignell, Mark Regan, Felipe Contepomi (Argentina), Al Charron (Canada), Brian Lima (Samoa), Gareth Llewellyn (Wales), Agustín Pichot (Argentina) and Jason Little (Australia).

Bristol Rugby Football Club was formed in 1888 when the Carlton club merged with Redland Park creating one Bristol club. The County Cricket Ground at Nevil Road was leased for home matches this was the home until 1919 when the club moved to Radnor Road. Bristol moved to their present home the Memorial Ground in 1921 it is in Filton Avenue, Horfield, Bristol BS7 0AQ. The ground was named in honour of the war dead and if games fall on memorial Sunday a minutes silence is still observed.

The club has had mixed fortunes in the professional era having been demoted to the National Leagues in the early 2000's, but gaining promotion in season 2004/5. The titles on to-date are; John Player Cup Champions 1983, Powergen Shield Champions 2004, Allied Dunbar Premiership Two Champions 1998/1999, National League One Champions 2004/5.
