The Blue Bulls will wear Pink Jerseys for their away games in the 2012 Investec Super (15) Series. We brought you the news on the 8 January “Blue Bulls 2012 Rugby Shirts” about the Bulls signing a five year deal with Puma and how they had new shirts of a similar style to the old Stade Francais electric flash.
Well now they have gone one step further and issued PINK Shirts for away games.
They have kept to the Stade Francais style again with the electric flashes and the pink is toned down with various shades of the Bulls namesake blue and purple as we see it. Puma say the purple colour is inspired by the local Pretoria Jacaranda Tree
The last bit of design speak is that the slashes/flashes are designed to confuse the opposition with the chevron type effect. We cannot see this making that much difference in any playing conditions. The shirt will however hopefully attract a wider fan base to our great game as did the Stade Francais version. Be certain it will not make the Bulls any easier as opposition we previously tipped them to finish as Currie Cup champions and losing semi-finalists in the Investec Super Series.
