Opinions were divided among Scottish Rugby fans as Canterbury unveiled the nation’s new Away kit.
Featuring some of Canterbury’s most advanced technology the shirt is predominantly white with the SRU emblem, the manufacturer’s tag, and the sponsors logo featured on the front. The hottest talking point upon the shirt’s release was the prominent positioning of a large ‘Saltire’ across the bottom of the shirt.
Designed to reflect the nation’s history and pride, it is hoped the jerseys will also help attract a wider range of supporters to the game, in keeping with a recent under-taking to focus on the development of Rugby in Scotland.
The strip will make its first appearance in a Test match when the Scots face the World Champion All Blacks at Murrayfield in early November.
