Hamilton-based rugby club the Chiefs step-up preparations for the 2016 Super Rugby campaign by releasing their brand-new home shirt.
Kit manufacturers adidas issue their Chiefs team a modernistic take on trademark club colours through designing arguably the most eye-catching visual within the upcoming Super Rugby season.
In traditional style, the Chiefs will take to the battle ground in a predominantly black shirt however adidas have incorporated a striking tribal-themed design to showcase the region’s Maori heritage. Flashes of yellow, orange, red and grey combine to compose the distinctive and story-telling graphics across the lower and upper panels of the shirt.
Offering a contrast in visual effect, the Chiefs back panel is kept an understated solid black, while orange adidas three-stripes wrap around the shoulders to match an additional adidas logo and club crest at opposing sides of the front chest panel.
