For their Super Rugby clash with the Crusaders today, the defending Champion Chiefs are wearing a one-off baby blue, yellow and orange kit to raise awareness of Waikids.
They are dedicated to maintaining wellness and preventing sickness from birth till the age of 18, Waikids is the combination of Waikato DHB’s child and youth health services
The shirt design was first shown by Chiefs co-captain Liam Messam, who had it on his twitter account yesterday. A limited number of the shirts (four) were available at the game from merchandise stands on each side of the ground, on a first come first served basis for $300. Three more were to be auctioned off in the Chiefs hospitality lounges, one will be sold on auction site Trade Me and one last jersey was donated to Waikids.
