England for long periods looked like they would run away from Wales at Twickenham. leading 13-7 at half time, having had the better of the half but wasted chances The scorers were Haskell for Engalnd and North for Wales, with Wilkinson adding the extras for England and Priestland for Wales.
In the second period Engalnd stretched out to 20 points to 7 before Wales closed the gap. Tuilagi finished a slick move instigated by man of the match Wilkinson, whilst Wilkinson added the extras and drop goals to keep the board ticking.
