Away in Albi, France and in front of a near full house Wales had one of the biggest wins in their history as they turned over the favourites France to win the European Cup.
France had the better of the first period and went into half time with a narrow 4-0 lead thanks to a try from Quentin Nauroy on 17 minutes, as Munoz missed the conversion attempt.
The second period and the exciting tight affair continued Wales coming out the stronger and scoring on 46 and 60 minutes through Rhys Williams and Gareth Thomas. With Lloyd White managing to convert the first 4-6, then missing the second 4-10.
67 minutes and France scored, this time Nicolas Munoz converted and we were all squared up. Then in an amazing sequence first Wales missed a drop goal by Lloyd White as it was ruled out for obstruction. From the resulting penalty, France went up-field and got what looked to be the winning one-pointer themselves through Tony Gigot. However in a final twist and with four minutes to go, Wales were awarded a penalty 40 metres out. Lloyd White ignored the cat-calls around the stadium and kicked the winning goal. Giving us the final score of:
