As expected France have named a strong side to face Argentina in the Stade De France on Friday at 8.00pm to open the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Bernard Laporte has surprised us however by moving wing Cedric Heymans to full-back. Pierre Mignoni and David Skrela have been paired at half-back, with Skrela moving to 10 from inside centre. Remy Martin and Imanol Harinordoquy form the back row with Serge Betsen, while Frederic Michalak and Sebastien Chabal will start on the bench.
France, Argentina and Ireland are the three team vying for the two qualifying places for the quarter-finals in Pool D, which also includes Georgia and Namibia.
