The 2013/14 HSBC Sevens Series Day Two 13 October has completed and yet again New Zealand win through to take the final.
We had some close games and plenty of excitement particularly in the quarters where New Zealand scraped past England. Scotland did for the USA and Australia marched into the semis as they dismissed Kenya.
The finals and Fiji thumped Kenya another result we did not expect. In the lower ranked finals the USA beat Portugal much as we would have tipped. Canada lost to France in the Bowl.
The final was also an exciting affair as first up the Australians ran out to a twelve nil lead only to get pegged back and overtaken comfortably in the end fourty All Blacks to nineteen Australia. The final score perhaps reflected on the extra time the Wallabies had to play in their semi-final against the South African SpringBoks
So a cracking start to the sevens season from across the World. Next up is the Dubai outing on the 29-30 Nov in the 7th Stadium Dubai. Before then here are all the results from Finals Day today:
