Round Four of the Sevens World Series 2012/13 in Wellington results Day One what a day.
This was an amazing day full of sunshine, colour and loads of results we did not expect or call. The New Zealand All Blacks being beaten by England, great to see Mat Turner back and helping to lift the spirits with some great individual work which raised the team.
England then messing about and ending with a draw against the USA, both teams still going through to the quarter finals. Fiji imploding and losing to Scotland and Australia who both go into the cup, though to be fair to Fiji they did have five new players in the squad and perhaps that was to many to digest. France ending up third behind Kenya and Argentina, having been runners up last time out. Samoa looking favourites whilst South Africa scraped through.

So we called most of the semi-finalists but not in the order they finished:
Pool ‘A’ New Zealand and England reversed.
Pool ‘B’ France let us down so Kenya topped with Argentina second
Pool ‘C’ Went as we predicted Samoa South Africa
Pool ‘D’ Fiji blew it so Australia topped with Scotland second.
So we only called 15 of the 24 results and will have to change our predictions for the quarter-finals.
