DayTwo in Dubai and the weather shone for the teams, but surprises continued not some much in the Cup, but certainly the Bowl.
The Cup opened with a surprise as France out-muscled and out thought Fiji to take a narrow win 8-5. The rest of the results went to form although Canada scared Kenya and the saving grace for the Africans was holding up players over the line to deny scores. Portugal also gave New Zealand a real test and the Kiwis only ran away with it late on. So semis time and cannot see France doing Samoa or Kenya New Zealand.
The Bowl and we did not do so well on our predictions as Spain went down, Australia went down to a much improved Scotland and Argentina did for England who need something like a change or personnel maybe at coach or players to inject some spirit and dog.
