Ireland U20 Squad

Coach Eric Elwood, the former Ireland fly half, has selected a 26-man squad for the Junior World Championship utilising several players who helped Ireland finish ninth at the IRB Under 19 World Championship 2007, including captain Paul Ryan.

Ireland have been drawn in Pool A with tournament favourites New Zealand, Argentina and Tonga and will need to beat two of these if they are to improve on that ninth place by finishing second in the pool to enter the fifth to eight place playoffs.
