Apparel manufacturer Canterbury has announced a new three-year deal with Aviva Premiership club Leicester Tigers, which will see it producing playing jerseys, training apparel, BaseLayer garments and off-field clothing.
The Tigers, who will wear the strip for the first time on May 3rd, are one of Europe’s most successful rugby clubs, having enjoyed huge success in both the Premiership and the Heineken Cup.
Canterbury, who recently announced a deal to manufacture England’s rugby kit, and also provide uniforms for South Africa, Scotland and Leinster, believe the deal fits in with their on-going commitment to align themselves with the sports’ leading sides.
The Stockport-based company suggested innovative technology and ground-breaking design elements will be a key feature of the new kit, which has yet to be made public except for fleeting images in a 30-second teaser video.
