The 2013 LV Cup for the English and Welsh Clubs kicked-off on Friday 8 November with round two commencing on the 15. We gave you a bit of a preview and now here is the review.
Friday night and Scarlet as expected saw off the challenge of Newport Gwent Dragons 21-13. The half-time score having been a close 6-0. Next up and to Cardiff Blues going down to Worcester Warriors. We did not expect this 16-21. Given it was looking much worse at half-time and 6-21. London Wasps was a nice tense affair as Saracens scrapped home 21-24. From 7-12 at half-time. Leicester Tigers had a comfortable journey winning 39-16. Sale Sharks had a game to forget going down 20-27 to Bath from 10-10 at the break.
Exeter Chiefs did for Harlequins 19-5. Half-time was 6-5. So to Northampton Saints who ran out easy winners 33-6. From 18-6 at the break. Last up and Newcastle Falcons beat London Irish 29-21. This was 16-11 at half-time.
So we had two wrong calls with Cardiff Blues and Sale Sharks slipping up for us.
So a few good mix ups just a shame that more are not cross country borders. anyway here are all the results:
