Martin Snedden who has headed New Zealand cricket for the last 6 years moves into rugby to head up the organisation of RWC 2011. Snedden, who played 25 Tests and 93 one-day internationals for New Zealand between 1981 and 1990, will take up his new role in May 2007.
Jock Hobbs, the chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Union and of the tournament company said: “Martin brings all of the right qualities to this role”.
