Nike officials and representatives from the Argentinian Rugby Union were in Cape Town today to unveil the brand-new home strip for Los Pumas ahead of their debut match in the new-look ‘Championship’ against the Springboks.
Having swapped one apparel giant for another, moving from adidas to Nike, the new-look jersey is a combination of tradition and innovation.
Classic sky blue and white hoops remain a feature of Los Pumas’ kit, although the stripes have been given a slant. On the back is emblazoned the iconic sun from the national flag.
The latest technological advancements employed in the shirt include the Dri-FIT material and a silicone strap on the inside, to ensure the best possible fit.
