Revealed in Sydney last week, Australia have launched their new home kit for the 2014-15 season.
Supplied by Japanese brand Asics, the new Wallabies home jersey is inspired by the iconic shirts of the past and features modern technology. The new home jersey will be first worn by the Qantas Wallabies against France on the 7th of June. Several stars of the Wallabies launched the new shirt including Israel Folau, Nick Phipps, Kurtley Beale, Stephen Moore, Matt Toomua and Dave Dennis.
The new shirt features the nation’s iconic gold and green colours. Dark green trim is seen on the sides, sleeve hems and collar. The new edition sees a return to a darker shade of gold featuring a white collar worn by the Wallabies players of previous eras including at the 1999 Rugby World Cup as well as drawing reference to the shirt worn in 1908.
The Australia home kit is completed wit hdark green shorts and socks which feature gold trim.
The shirt has been desigend to enhance player’s performance as it is made from a lightweight and strong fabric and is very durable and breathable.
