Pau play their home games in white strip, with white shirts, white shorts and socks. The club are over one hundred years old, being formed as Section Paloise de la Ligue Girondine in 1902, taking on their current name in 1905, although they are oftened referred to as Pau and joined the French league in 1911. The away jersey is green with white sleeves and again is paired with white shorts and socks, the club are sponsored by French petroleum company Total.
Pau is a small city with a population of around 85,000 the club last won the French championship in 1964, having won it first in 1928, they have got as far as the European Semi-Finals buit in recent years fell out of the Top 14, to return in time for the 15/16 French season. They play their home games at the 13,819 capacity Stade du Hameau, in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
