The Shed had a great night as they saw Gloucester win all their games to qualify for next Fridays Finals at Bath Rugby’s Recreation Ground. The night did perhaps have a bit of a sour note as Freddie Burns who had orchestrated so many of Gloucester’s try scoring moves went off with a knee injury and must be a major doubt for next week.
The first match of the night saw Exeter Chiefs out in
the European shirts for next season putting Gloucester into their change strip. It did not inhibt Gloucester as they ran out winners 36-7. Gloucester then beat Worcester Warriors 33-19 and in the final match of the night they beat next weeks hosts Bath Rugby 24-17 to claim top spot. Bath who had also won 35-12 against the Warriors and 19-12 against the Chiefs also qualify for next weeks finals.
The wooden spoon match saw Chiefs win 26-24 with a last gasp try against Worcester Warriors who claimed the wooden spoon.
