Day Two and the quarter finals of the Gold Coast Seven’s leg of the IRB World Series went to script apart from new boys Spain doing for Tonga in the bowl.
The main competition saw South Africa defeat France 26-14 as the French confirmed they are a force this season. Fiji did for Samoa but 19-7 was easier than we thought it would be though still tight. Argentina gave New Zealand a match going down 7-12 and as mentioned Australia lost to Kenya 14-21.
The bowl opened with Canada taking an easy win against Portugal 31-0. England then thumped Scotland 35-7. This left the Scots win less for the weekend with the shield to come. Wales had to work harder as they overturned the USA 24-7 and finally Tonga went down to Spain 7-24 a convincing win.
