England have demolished a weak Romanian side 67-3 in a one-sided game in Dunedin on Saturday.
England were rarely challenged, scoring ten tries to none in the win that guarantees the English team a spot in the Knock-out stages of the tournament.
Wings Mark Cueto and Chris Ashton both claimed hat-tricks in what was one-way traffic from the first whistle and England will have every right to pleased with their performance. Just how much can be read into the scoreline against a minnow side featuring a lot of tired legs is debatable however.
Romania did not trouble the English line in what was a great defensive performance from the men in white. The win will bring a lot of confidence with the match against Scotland in which will determine which team finishes top of Pool B.
