Salford caused a huge upset by beating champions Leeds for their first win at Headingley in 32 years. The Reds led at half-time 6-16, thanks to scores by John Wilshere, Mark Henry and Richie Myler. Rhinos points came from a converted try by Jamie Jones-Buchanan. The second period and Robbie Paul pushed Salford out to 6-22. But Leeds now got into the game and things got closer as Ryan Hall, Keith Senior and Jamie Peacock all scored to narrow the gap. But this was Salford’s day and Jordan Turner scored a late interception try seconds before the final whistle and secure the famous win for Salford. Final score:
