Ruaridh Jackson kicked a last-minute penalty to win the final autumn Test for Scotland against Samoa at a freezing Pittodrie in Aberdeen. The hard-fought victory continues Scotland’s upward trend under Andy Robinson..
Scotland were first on the score sheet with a Dan Parks’ penalty in the third minute, but it was Samoa who took the first try through Kahn Fotualii with Williams adding the extras, 3-7. Parks continued to kick his goals and Nikki Walker ran in a try to a penalty by Williams, to give us the half-time score of 13-10.
The second period was a tight affair and the kickers were to the fore for each side to take us in to the last few minutes locked at 16-16. The draw would probably have been a fair result but Jackson had a huge kick from in his half and with no time left posted it, to give us the final score of:
Scotland 19-16 Samoa
