St.Helens drew with Wigan on Friday night and that was enough to stay top of the pile going into the play-offs, whilst the result cemented Wigan in the top 4.
Saints found themselves 12-6 down at half time having been 12-0 behind thanks to tries by George Carmont and Joel Tomkins. Matt Gidley replied for St.Helens and brought the first half to a close at 12-6.
The second half and Wigan extended their lead with a goal from Pat Richards, but the game then turned as Ade Gardner and Matt Gidley went over to put Saints in front for the first time. The draw was forced when Pat Richards posted another kick for Wigan giving the final score of:
