What a weekend of exciting rugby from the Six Nations, LV-Cup, French Top 14 and of course the Super 15.
The weekend started with the Chiefs mixing their game and inflicting another loss on the Crusaders 19-24 Chiefs, who also have the bonus of Aaron Cruden re-signing.
Next up was the Force, and another surprise for us as the Hurricanes turned them over, Force 19-46 Hurricanes. Saturday and normal service was resumed as the Brumbies scraped through 24-23 against an inspired but ultimately indisciplined Cheetahs. The Highlanders continued their winning start although the Waratahs gave them a scare in the 18-17 result in Dunedin and this time no troubles with the stadium clock!
The next game we all thought would be a formality for the Reds, but surprise, surprise the Rebels tackled their socks off and lost a hard fought exciting contest 11-6. To South African and The Sharks at home up next and although the Lions tried everything a few lapses allowed the Sharks to run in 32-20 winners. The end of the weekend and the biggest surprise and upset as the Blues turned over the Bulls at home. 23-29 and a first 2012 Super Rugby win for the Blues. Bad news for them is a serious injury to one of their stars Jerome Kaino. So our predictions gave us a 4/3 split as the Crusaders, Force and Bulls let us down.
