The USA beat Russia by 38-12 as they powered into the final of the shield where they will meet France to stuttered past Kenya 17-14. In the Bowl Wales just squeaked past Portugal but need to tighten their defence when they meet Scotland who had an easy run out against Zimbabwe 31-19. IRB 7’s Twickenham Q-Finals Fiji out-muscle England
England as we expected lost their semi-final to Fiji in the tightest of games as they were out-muscled and contained by the Islanders going down 21-14. On day one of the Twickenham leg of the IRB Sevens World Series, there were no surprises. England losing to Samoa means they have a tough quarter final against Fiji and it will be a surprise if they mange to reach the semi-finals. Russia 7’s take the Bowl but Kiwis Cup IRB Series Scotland – England 14-29 New Zealand
New Zealand were just to clinical and organised for England in the final of the Cup in Scotland.
