Top 14 France has ended and not as we expected.
First ASM Clermont lost to Castres in the Semi-Finals 9-25. Obviously a game to far following the Heineken loss to Toulon. Meanwhile Toulon saw off the Toulouse challenge 24-9.
So to the final and in a close tight tough affair it was Castres who came out on top 14-19. The boots of Jonny Wilkinson and Roroy Kockott were to the fore, but it was a try to Kockott and then two drop goals by Remi Tales that saw Castres home and stopped Toulon doing the double. A fitting climax to the season.
So one right and one wrong call in the semi’s and had we gone for it we would ahve tipped Toulon so wrong again. Here are the results:

Oyonnax won the Pro Div Two with 111 points ahead of Brive on 94 and then Brive won the play-off against Pau 30-10 so both clubs are in the Top 14 for the season 2013/14.
