Two tries in the space of three minutes proved the difference and gave St Helens a hard-fought win over Wigan at the JJB Stadium. Wigan led 12-6 at half time, thanks to scores by Shaun Ainscough both converted by Amos Roberts. This score held until 53 minutes when Matt Gidley and Leon Pryce crossed in quick succession, with Kyle Eastmond converting twice to make it 18-12. The game was then ended by another Saints score as Kyle Eastmond dropped a goal, this gave us the final score of:
