England brushed aside the reigning World Champions in a stirring performance at Twickenham on the weekend, ending the All Blacks unbeaten run and re-writing the record books in the process.
England outmuscled the men in black in the first half, winning the contest at the breakdown and benefitting from a wealth of possession and territory by earning penalties and converting them in to points.
Leading 15-nil early in the second, the visitors then stormed back in to the game, quickly nailing two converted tries, and looking likely to swamp the English in the same fashion as similar lifts in intensity in the previous weeks had blown Scotland, Italy and Wales off the paddock.
But England, playing with a confidence which belied the mere 206 caps held by their starting XV, refused to be overwhelmed, and went on the offensive, piling on the points to eventually run out 38-21 victors, their biggest ever win over the All Blacks.
