Following the devastation of Cyclone Evan which has reeked havoc on both Samoa and Fiji, All Black first-five Dan Carter has offered two signed training jerseys for auction on TradeMe to raise funds for those most affected.
Both shirts are official All Black training jerseys made by adidas, featuring the All Blacks’ and adidas logos on the chest and Air New Zealand emblazoned across the front. The shirts attracted immediate interest, with bidding on each exceeding $2000 with 24 hours of the auction remaining
The cyclone, which touched down in Fiji two days ago, was the worst in more than 20 years to hit the Pacific region, and although neither country suffered fatalities the damage to homes and infrastructure was significant.
