England and ISC have officially unveiled a special shirt that will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the famous Rorke’s Drift Test.
The Rorke’s Drift Test was the third test in the 1914 Great Britain Lions tour to Australia and New Zealand and the shirt will be worn against Australia in Melbourne next weekend. This shirt will be used once with their standard 2013 RLWC jersey worn for the rest of the Four Nations matches.
The shirt features a thin red and white hooped design with an open white panel for the Gillette sponsor to be placed. A standard red collar is included with the word “England” on the back of the neck of the shirt. Additional sponsors are seen on the sleeves and under the shoulder. The kit is completed with white shorts and black and white socks.
On one of the white hoops there are thirteen layers who played in the famous Rorke’s Drift Test. The names include Albert Johnson, Dick Ramsdale, Alf Wood and many more.
