The 1013 Rugby League Cup Round two got under way on Thursday night with a crucial win for Scotland.
This was followed on Friday by a massive win against Papua New Guinea, by New Zealand the current champions showing their credentials and power. Next up were England v Fiji. Not totally straightforward but enough to see England progress to the next game in comfort. Australia Ireland was a late night kick-off. This put the pressure on the Aussies. But they could easily cope with this one. So to Sunday nd as expected Wales went down closely though 24-28. Whilst Tonga ran in 16-0 against Italy. So there was just the one more game to come and the result here was: pretty much as we expected France were out muscled 6-22. Having been 6-6 at half time. This is a bit of where the contest is not a contest as both sides are assured of the next round.
