Formed as the Neath-Swansea Ospreys in 2003, playing in the Celtic League, EDF Energy Cup and the Heineken Cup/European Challenge Cup. At the start of the 2005-6 season, they dropped Neath and Swansea from their name to become simply the Ospreys, although the company is still Neath-Swansea Ospreys.

Ospreys play their home games at the 20,000 capacity Liberty Stadium, Landore, Swansea SA1 2FA. The ground has been home to some titantic battles and the Ospreys hope and intend to retain the tradition of it beinga touch place to visit. They share the ground with Swansea football club.
