Welsh play their home games in strip comprising red shirts, with black sleeves and white under sleeves and sides. The shirt has been worn at the peak of the game in England since the foundation of the club in 1885 and some well known names have donned the shirt, a few of whom are: Gerald Davies, Mervyn Davies, John Dawes, Geoff Evans, Mike Roberts, John Taylor and perhaps the best known of all JPR Williams. The club also has a strong Ladies section, which is also playing at the top level.

London Welsh Rugby Football Club was formed in 1885 to offer rugby to Welshmen living and working in London. The club still holds true to this heritage today, although the squad is now drawn from around the world. The 1st team currently plays in National Division One of the English leagues and the club play their home games at Old Deer Park, Richmond upon Thames, London.
